Torrance Centennial Plaza at El Prado Park
1912 - 2012

Centennial Plaza includes a time capsule, benches, landscaping and personalized commemorative bricks. The Plaza is located in the original footprint of the City at the Cravens Avenue end of El Prado Park in Old Torrance.

El Prado Park was the first "parkland" in Torrance, and was designed by Fredrick Law Olmsted, Jr. (Olmsted Brothers), one of the premier landscape architects of the 20th century who was hired by Jared Sidney Torrance to design the Modern Industrial City we call Torrance.

The plaza was dedicated on Sunday, September 16th, 2012.
