Ted Tanouye is the only citizen of the City of Torrance to be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. The video "CITIZEN TANOUYE" and other curriculum materials are part of the Social Studies program of all Torrance high schools. The video gives historical background and significance to the life of Ted Takayuki Tanouye, THS Class of 1938, and the events that took place in the City of Torrance during World War II and its impact on our area and the Americans removed from their homes.
